Living in the Word-of-Mouth World

  What I thought I knew about Word of mouth was it was a form of possible advertisement. I thought word of mouth advertisement was unhealthy for any brand unless done by a professional. It was with my limited understanding that I thought that when someone liked a product that it was based on their views and opinions, and that always made me think word of mouth advertising would hurt businesses and revenues. My ignorant way of thinking was that word of mouth would travel fast and destroy certain aspect of certain brands. What I know is that Madam C.J. Walker was reportedly the first female millionaire. After doing some research on the women once known as Sarah Breedlove. I now know this is how she build her entire business and legacy.   I have been working in the Child welfare system in Florida for about ten years now. Within those ten years I have worked as a Dependency court, Court Reporter, a Child welfare Licensing Counselor, Child Welfare Case Manager, and now as a manager of the Family Finder Program. I am currently teaching families classes who are interested in becoming foster parents. I also teach women who have been rescued from Domestic Violence.       On August 15, 2022, I began my journey to obtain my Mater’s in Strategic communication.  I would like to obtain this degree to explore how media views the less fortunate. I would also like to explore how I can bring position attention to the child welfare system, and the extreme need for media attention towards recruiting and obtaining Foster Parents.
